As CityWell chose to move from a large launch church plant, to a micro-ministry model Pastor DJ requested that the board discontinue his salary. He started a handyman business and has been picking up work to provide for his family as what scripture calls a "tent-maker". Although this allows CityWell to operate with an unbelievably small budget, and be positioned to be incredibly generous it does limit the Grick families ability to take on as many ministry as they would like. This fund was create to allow Individuals, families, or organizations to bless the Grick's financially. The goal amount would allow them to serve in full time ministry, but any amount opens the door for them to take less side jobs.
